Charlotte Flamand studied graphic arts before joining the painting department at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where she graduated in 2017. Her work is driven by language; a daily journal of drawings, notes, and images that she assembles into paint to create a poetic space. She has since participated in numerous exhibitions and residencies and is the recipient of several awards such as the Horlait-Dapsens Scholarship and the Moonens Prize. In 2022, she presented her first solo exhibition at the Rossicontemporary Gallery in Brussels. The exhibition, “A Sense of Space,” at ABRI MARS is her first showing in the United States and is presented in collaboration with Rossicontemporary.
