Qin Tan
b 1993 Beijing, China, lives and works in Cliffside Park, New Jersey
Qin Tan explores methods of expression that observe what it means to be human today. The subjects of her paintings range from surreal landscapes to symbolic stick figures that occasionally morph into different objects and tools that reflect life in primordial form within an artificial reality—a conscious observer searching for meaning among rich landscapes inspired by our digital world. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015. Selected solo exhibitions include 42 Art Project, Beijing, China, and JPS Gallery, Hong Kong.
